Visiting Assistant Professor

The Department of Film and Media at Emory University in Atlanta, GA seeks to hire two Visiting Assistant Professors for the 2023-2024 Academic Year. Appointments begin on August 1, 2023, and will be for a one-year term, with a 2-3 teaching load. We are interested in applicants who have experience teaching two or more classes on or related to the following topics: Introduction to Film, History of American Television, Media Industries, Business and the Media, Digital Media, and Social Media. Preference will be given to candidates who emphasize diverse perspectives in their pedagogical approach. Applicants must possess a Ph.D. at time of appointment and demonstrate evidence of excellence in teaching. Salary is $55,000, with full benefits. Moving expenses will be reimbursed.
