Position Summary

Under the direction of the Construction Administration Manager in Planning & Capital Construction, the Senior Project Manager will provide mentorship and support to project managers while also maintaining a portfolio of a variety of projects. In this highly specialized and highly collaborative position, the Senior Project Manager will support PCC’s commitment to student success and to diversity, equity and inclusion.

Candidate Profile

These qualifications, skills and abilities are critical for success in this position.
Throughout the screening process, you will be evaluated based on the demonstration of these qualifications.
  • Ability to support project managers in all aspects of capital project work, including programming, design, construction management, budgeting, scheduling, project forecasting, and closeout.
  • Experience as an owner’s representative, independently managing a large portfolio of complex project from planning and design, construction coordination and eventual occupancy on multi-year, multi-million-dollar projects.
  • Strong communicate skills to clearly relay and synthesize complex conversations and issues into manageable conversations with internal and external project stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of and dedication to diversifying project teams through partnerships with minority-owned, women-owned, emerging small businesses and working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated skills in collaboration, client services, and consensus building.
Minimum Qualifications

To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Construction Management, Interior Design, Business Administration, Public Administration, or other related field (Note: Experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year to year basis.)
  • Five years progressively responsible facility planning and construction project management experience, to include financial performance accountability, or a combination of education and experience which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform the job
  • Two years of lead or supervisory experience leading and guiding staff

Starting Salary Expectations
Minimum $90,523 to range midpoint of $110,892. Placement will generally not exceed the mid-point, based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.

Additionally, PCC provides a tuition waiver for you, your spouse/domestic partner, and dependent children under 24 years of age, as well as partial tuition reimbursement for full-time employees at other accredited institutions.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Work environment includes frequent disruptions and changes in priorities. Work is generally performed in an office environment with frequent interruptions and irregularities in the work schedule. Working hours may vary and occasional evening or weekend work is required. Frequent travel to other locations is required. No special coordination beyond that used for normal mobility and handling of everyday objects and materials is needed to perform the job satisfactorily.
