Overview
The Princeton Adversity and Relationships in Context Lab (ARC Lab) is seeking a part-time project. The primary goal of research in the ARC Lab is to understand and reduce inequality in society. Drawing on social and cultural perspectives, our research investigates two broad questions: (1) what are the consequences of adversity on close relationships and (2) what role do close relationships play in mitigating or exacerbating the consequences of adversity? This is a part-time position starting in the summer. Start date is negotiable. Please submit a CV and transcript and include your earliest possible start date.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work closely with Dr. Rebecca Carey and assist with recruiting participants from the local Trenton community and conducting psychological research with this population. Duties include: (1) collaboration on projects (e.g., conducting literature reviews, completing IRB submissions, recruiting, scheduling and running participants, designing study materials, coding and analyzing data, assisting with publications and presentations) (2) research team management (e.g., coordinating research project logistics, managing research assistants) (3) general lab administration duties (e.g., project meeting and event management, updating project documents and policies, maintaining project website, purchasing project necessities, maintaining project equipment)
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in psychology or
relevant field
One or more years of research
experience in a psychology, education, or related discipline
General knowledge of social science
research methods, statistics, and experimental studies with human
subjects
Excellent communication, management,
and administrative skills
Interest in inequality, social
disparities, or adversity
Highly motivated, organized, and
conscientious
Generosity as a team member

Experience using Qualtrics or other
survey design software
Experience in developing and
conducting in-person or online experiments with human subjects
Experience using a data analysis
program such as R, SPSS, Python, or SAS
