Position Summary
The University at Buffalo Department of Surgery in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences invites applications for a full-time Research Assistant Professor position (non-tenure track). The program seeks individuals with a doctorate in education, psychology or related areas.
- Lead the development and implementation of evaluation and research strategies to assure continuous quality improvement and regulatory compliance.
- Contribute to educational research at all levels of surgical training and will work in collaboration with faculty on scholarly projects in Graduate Medical Education ( GME ) and other vital School of Medicine program.
- Assist faculty with curriculum development for simulated training environments (animate and inanimate models) and other aspects of resident curriculum including didactics, case-based learning, small group formats, assignments, quizzes, and other strategies.
- Ensure that educational programs are presented in a variety of learning formats consistent with adult learning principles and optimal educational technologies.
- Collaborate with curriculum leadership as curricula evolve to include new and innovative learning methodology.
