Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications include a Ph.D. or equivalent in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA -accredited graduate school and an APA -accredited clinical internship. Must be licensed/license eligible as a Clinical or Counseling Psychologist in the state of New York. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Position Summary
The UB Behavioral Medicine Division seeks an outstanding Clinical Health Psychologist specializing in evaluation and treatment of patients with painful medical disorders.We are seeking a licensed or license-eligible psychologist with expertise in chronic pain management.
Roles and responsibilities include:
- Providing services including assessment and delivery of evidence-based therapy (telemedicine, face to face) for patients with persistent pain disorders;
- Timely documentation;
- Ability to develop and maintain collegial relationships for the purpose of functioning a consultant to providers and patients with medical problems such as lower back and neck pain, fibromyalgia, arthritis, irritable bowel syndrome, non-cardiac chest pain, temporomandibular joint disorder, benign headaches, pelvic pain within the context of an adult clinic setting rooted in biopsychosocial model of care
- Pre-surgical evaluations to determine the psychological readiness of medical patients for invasive procedures (e.g., spinal cord stimulators)
- Supervision of trainees (including graduate students, fellows, residents) around behavioral issues of chronic illness.
