Position Overview
Starting Salary Range is $34,632 -$38,963. The initial salary offer
is commensurate with education and related work experience.
Assist in all aspects of resource development and donor relations
for the Resource Development Office. Represent the college to
external stakeholders, cultivate relationships, assist with grants,
alumni, and Lee College Foundation, plan and execute fundraising
and other types of events, and assist students with scholarship
activities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Gift Processing: Ensure that all gifts are
processed accurately and timely and relevant information is added
to constituent records in the database. Resolve issues related to
credit and debit card transactions. Manage matching gifts; Follow
standard procedures to save backup documentation for all gifts.
Oversee online donations, create donation pages, process
transactions, and import and export gift/donor information.
Record Maintenance: Ensure the ongoing
documentation of the database setup, data entry procedures, and
data output procedures. Maintain the integrity of Raiser's Edge and
other databases by updating records, merging constituents, and
adding relevant information provided by donors, prospects, or
staff. Develop and oversee detailed protocols for data entry,
management actions, and donor interaction tracking. Manage all
aspects of the donor database and maintain data integrity and
accuracy, including database cleanup as well as handle all global
changes, imports and other database functions.
Reporting and Reconciliation: Run queries,
audits, and reports, including interaction and solicitation
activity, campaign ratings, cash sheets of gifts processed, and
other materials related to prospect data. Analyze findings to
inform the Development team's fundraising priorities and improve
the effectiveness of fundraising efforts. Devise and execute
processes to reconcile donations with the Business/Finance
department. Train Development staff on data entry protocols and
develop customized dashboards. Report on gift revenue progress and
advancement goals.
Acknowledgment Process/Donor Outreach: Oversee
donor acknowledgements, generate acknowledgment letters, gift
receipts, tribute notices, and invoices in a timely fashion. Ensure
personal recognition of all gifts, prepare pledge agreements,
payment reminders, and donor stewardship pieces. Review and edit
related documents for accuracy. Reach out to donors and prospects
to verify the information and make thank-you calls.
Project Management: Supervise vendor
relationships, including with print/mail shop. Produce collateral
(letter, envelope, reply device) for direct marketing pieces. Pull,
suppress, and segment mailing lists for mail and Development
department. Develop a monthly recurring gift program through direct
mail and online solicitations. Provide strategic planning for the
direct mail program. Oversee the direct mail calendar and strategy
behind donor segmentation. Document pipeline and task assignments,
track prospects and maintain timelines. Coordinate with Resource
Development team to plan and execute fundraising, stewardship,
engagement, and donor appreciation events.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities
Greet, receive, and assist students, guests, and colleagues who
contact/visit the Resource Development Office.
Assist students with questions, scholarship concerns, login
issues, and other problems with the web-based scholarship
program.
Assist the Resource Development Office with event planning,
meetings, and special events: including developing and tracking
guest lists, reserving rooms, determining the schematic for set-up,
arranging for special items, creating invitations and other printed
material, tracking RSVPs, donor acknowledgments and receipts,
arranging for audiovisual or other support equipment, set-up/clean
up as needed, etc.
Assist with scheduling meetings, meeting agendas, meeting
minutes, preparation and planning for grant, alumni, and LC
Foundation meetings and others as needed, collecting RSVPs, making
copies, and preparing/creating/updating spreadsheets and
reports.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills &
Abilities
Associate's (or higher) degree or successful completion of
sixty (60) college credit hours.
Two (2) years of related work experience.
Must be organized, accurate, attentive to details, and able to
master a wide range of complex tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced work
environment.
Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Suite, and the
ability to master additional software programs as necessary.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Willingness to learn new applications.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, able to
converse easily with the public, friendly and personable.
Dependable, professional, and possess strong project management
experience.
Commitment to the community college students and mission of Lee
College and the Lee College Foundation.
Able to work evenings and weekends as necessary to support
department events and deadlines.
