St. Catherine University invites applications for the Community Engaged Learning Coordinator position with the Community Work & Learning Department.
The Community Engaged Learning Coordinator will live out the mission of the university, strategic priorities and to advance the Academic Master Plan by providing opportunities for students to engage in the High Impact Practice (HIP) of community-engaged learning. It is crucial this position maintains, strengthens community-engaged learning across courses in collaboration, partnership with community organizations. This position manages pre-semester collaborative work between community partners and faculty to support course community-engaged learning development, and then implements community-engaged learning in courses including intro, reflection and debriefing. This work will ensure best course engagement for mutual benefit.
Responsibilities includes:
- Work with faculty and community partners to develop mutually beneficial community-engaged learning experiences
- Provide logistical support and troubleshooting for CEL courses
- Design and deliver CEL orientation and reflection activities
- Communicate respectfully and build relationships of trust with people of all cultures and abilities
- Lead CWL team in developing and maintaining community partnerships that support our social justice and racial equity goals
- Serve as first contact for community organizations, developing strategies for organizing and sharing information across our team
- Supervise CWL student staff
- Work with Associate Director to highlight CEL courses through marketing and communications
- Participate in broader community engagement field

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Two (2) years experience in community engagement, higher education, and/or program coordination OR minimum of 6 years relevant experience
- Experience working collaboratively and effectively with diverse populations
- Skills/ experience managing multiple projects with frequent interruptions
- Creativity and problem solving skills
- Proficiency in technology and relevant software, including but not limited to: Google Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Forms), Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel)
- Understanding of and commitment to social justice, community/civic engagement, and the mission of St. Catherine University
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of community-engaged learning field
- Experience with diverse communities or organizations in the Twin Cities that provide services to diverse communities
- Experience in higher education working with faculty, courses, or students
