The University of Puget Sound is hiring an Administrative Support Coordinator (ASC) to join our Psychology Department!

The ASC's role is to be the department's support hub, which includes maintaining daily office functioning, event planning and advertising, performing clerical and budget management tasks, using Microsoft Office and Google Suites programs, and supervising the department's student employees. The ASC's office is in the middle of the department, between faculty offices and the student lounge. This helps create a culture of community among the ASC, faculty, and students. We welcome applicants who have a minimum of 1 year of administrative experience who desire a sense of workplace ownership and enjoy being intellectually engaged across many skill domains.

-Positions that work less than .75 FTE (1,560 hours per year) do not qualify for long-term disability or education benefits.
-Positions that work less than .50 FTE (1,040 hours per year) will accrue paid sick leave but are not eligible for additional benefits.
-Temporary positions that work at least .50 FTE (1,040 hours per year) will be eligible for benefits after 6 months of continuous employment.

To be considered for this role, a candidate must:

• Be ready to seek out and engage with a number of different offices across campus by developing respectful working relationships within a diverse campus community
• Be dependable, proactive, in-person, and punctual
• Be able to become proficient with new software and databases, and demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills
• Be organized and able to maintain clear record-keeping systems
• Be able to prioritize time in order to complete short- and long-term projects on time

Compensation and Benefits:

• The pay range for this position is $19.00 to $19.00 per hour. Decisions about starting salaries are made based on the extent and relatedness of the candidate's education and experience and on internal equity and market considerations.
• This position is non-exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
