Job Summary
Liaison responsibilities include the development and maintenance of agency practicum sites, training of and linkage with Field Instructors; placement and oversight of students in their field education practicum; instructional responsibility for integrated field seminars, student and Field Instructor orientations and trainings; and contribution toward ongoing Field Program and Social Work Program development. The Liaison must have the capacity to assist in the education and professional development of a diverse group of social work students. This position requires committee involvement in the Social Work Program and the broader School and University. This position is hybrid allowing for significant telecommuting options. This position reports to the Director of Social Work Field Programs.

Minimum Qualifications
  • At least five years post-MSW social work experience
  • Clinical or Advanced Practice Social Work License
  • At least one year of experience as a social work field instructor, and/or experience as an instructor in higher education or extensive professional continuing education training
  • Excellent aptitude for course management teaching platforms and virtual tools
  • Demonstrated experience using advanced technologies with efficiency including multiple databases, Office 365, Microsoft Office, and web-based navigation systems.
  • Excellent communication skills (as evidenced by application materials)
  • Ability to multi-task


Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional clinical experience with a variety of client groups and social service settings
  • Organized, flexible, a team player, and with good time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well independently
  • Online teaching experience
  • Experience with professional collaborations
  • Knowledge of the social service community in southeastern Wisconsin
