Executive-in-Residence



The Department of Public Administration and Policy in the School of Public Affairs at American University invites applications for a term faculty appointment for Academic Year 2023-2024. The appointment will be at the rank of Professorial Lecturer, with the title Executive-in-Residence. The appointment is for a 12-month term position and will commence on August 1, 2023.

Applicants should hold a PhD or other terminal degree. Highly qualified applicants with a master’s degree related to public administration and policy will be considered. The position will require the incumbent to teach three graduate courses per semester in public administration and policy and the Key Executive Leadership Program, including, but not limited to leadership, organizational analysis, team building/facilitation. The selected individual will also direct the new SPA Key Executive Undergraduate Leadership program. All faculty are expected to hold office hours and participate in School and University activities and service.
