Schedule and Facilities Coordinator



SUMMARY

This Schedule and Facilities Coordinator is responsible for compiling and ensuring the accuracy of the published college course schedule. The Schedule and Facilities Coordinator will also assign and coordinate the use of classroom and facility space in a manner that fulfills scheduling needs while maximizing facility usage. This position also oversees the organization of student employment within the Registrar office.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Work in conjunction with Department Chairs to compile course schedules in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Work in conjunction with faculty and staff to establish classroom assignments and usage.
  • Provide for the timely and accurate completion of semi - annual projects and processes.
  • Utilize computer software (Jenzabar CX and AD Astra) to compile and produce required reports.
  • Work with the Registrar and staff on required project work.
  • Assist with planning and execution of Office of the Registrar team initiatives.
  • Oversee and coordinate the work of student employees within the Registrar office.
MINIMUM EDUCATION
  • Requires a minimum education including successful completion of 4 years of high school, or equivalent, plus additional specialized training.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
  • Requires a minimum of 1 to 3 years class scheduling in an academic environment.
REQUIRED SKILLS, ABILITIES AND/OR LICENSURE
  • Requires excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with students and faculty members.
  • Requires the ability to use a personal computer and Web browser, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Jenzabar CX, and AD Astra software.
  • Requires the ability to work collegially in a team-oriented environment.
  • Requires demonstrated ability to handle challenging situations with confidence and function effectively with frequent interruptions.
  • Requires demonstrated expertise in the areas of organization, problem-solving and critical thinking.
  • Requires knowledge of and the ability to use a variety of standard office equipment such as a telephone, computer keyboard, copier, printer, scanner, etc.
