The Opportunity:
The Department of Aeronautical Science at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Arizona invites applications for a non-tenure track faculty position at the rank of Instructor of Aeronautical Science to begin in the Fall 2023 semester.
Teaching assignments include airplane and/or helicopter ground schools at the private, instrument, and commercial pilot levels.
The normal teaching load corresponds to a 15 credit hour course load per semester. When not teaching class, instructors maintain regular office hours for student support and faculty collaboration in accordance with the Faculty Handbook. The instructors will actively plan, design, and implement techniques and materials for course improvement and student support. Candidates must demonstrate a love for learning in order to inspire students to be lifelong learners.
The position is available beginning in August 2023. Applications will be reviewed immediately and will continue until the position is filled. Minimum education and certification:
The selected candidate must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in an aviation-related field.
Candidates must possess either a current FAA flight instructor with instrument rating-airplane or helicopter (CFI-I) and/or an advanced ground instructor (AGI) and instrument ground instructor (IGI) certificate.
Preferred qualifications:
Preferred candidates should have a multi-engine rating and multi-engine instructor (MEI) rating.
