Job Summary
The Teaching, Learning, and Technology Consultant works with faculty and teaching staff to facilitate excellence in teaching and learning by providing equity-minded, inclusive pedagogical and instructional design consultation, and support for the effective use of instructional technology. This consultant also assists with or leads projects aligned with university initiatives related to in-person and online/blended teaching and learning. To better understand the needs of faculty and teaching staff and the pedagogical and technical challenges they face, this person is encouraged to teach a course each year.
Minimum Qualifications
- Direct or related experience providing equity-minded, inclusive pedagogical and instructional design support for teaching
- Direct or related experience providing support for a learning management system and other course technology
- Direct or related teaching experience
- Masters Degree
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
- Demonstrated organization skills, including the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines in a very busy and rapidly evolving center
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a small, tightly integrated unit
- Demonstrated commitment to providing the best quality of service and support to faculty and teaching staff
