The University of Maryland, Baltimore, opened in 1807, is Maryland's public health, law, and human services university dedicated to excellence in education, research, clinical care, and public service. UMB enrolls nearly 7,000 students in six nationally ranked professional schools — dentistry, law, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, and social work — and an interdisciplinary graduate school. The University offers 90 doctoral, master's, baccalaureate, and certificate programs and confers most of the professional practice doctoral degrees awarded in Maryland.

UMB seeks a visionary leader to oversee the Office of Philanthropy. The Chief Philanthropy Officer will provide extraordinary vision, strategic direction, and entrepreneurial management for the Office of Philanthropy. Reporting to the Senior Vice President for Enterprise and Economic Development and serving as a member of the UMB President's Executive Leadership team, the CPO will drive the development strategy across UMB to help the University meet it's overall fundraising goal.

The ideal candidate will have 10 years of related experience, including leadership, management, and administration of a Development Office at a higher education or equivalent institution in progressively responsible positions. The next CPO will be a fundraising leader who is also highly collaborative and can work across many channels and sectors to create and deliver
shared goals.

Salary Range: $300k - $325k.
