Job Description

The Virginia Tech School of Communication invites applications for two one-year nontenure-track instructor appointments (with potential for renewal) to begin August 2023. The instructors will teach four (4) classes per semester. Potential courses include Introduction to Communication Research, Professional/Business Communication, Interpersonal Communication, Organizational Communication, and Visual Media.

Required Qualifications

Master’s Degree in communication, journalism, advertising, public relations or closely related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

College-level teaching experience. Professional experience in visual communication or internal organizational communication management or applied experience in communication research. We strongly prefer a portfolio of research, teaching, and service that includes attention to diversity and underserved or underrepresented communities.
