The Institute for Health and Productivity Studies in the Department of Health, Behavior and Society is seeking aSr. Research Program Coordinator IIto support the administrative and scientific implementation of research protocols for complex and/or multiple research studies. This individual will collaborate with faculty and staff to develop protocols, develop statement of purpose, and oversee study-related activities for one or more studies. These activities include managing quantitative and qualitative data from government and private sector-funded research in the areas of worksite health promotion, health and productivity management, health promotion/disease prevention, financial impact analysis, program evaluation, and/or healthcare research and policy.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • IRB submissions: lead tasks in preparing materials for IRB approvals.
  • Literature reviews: assist with developing and executing protocols for search criteria, data extraction, analysis and synthesis of findings.
  • Data management: coordinate development and execution of data instrument and data collection procedures/protocols that may involve conducting interviews, focus groups, online surveys, and field site visits.
  • Data analysis: lead data cleaning/quality assurance tasks, qualitative analytic activities, quantitative descriptive analysis, and support statistical analysis.
  • Dissemination: prepare data outputs and graphics, draft preliminary summary, and contribute to final reports, white papers, and articles for publication in peer-reviewed journals.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments.

  • Conduct analyses and prepare documents to adhere to project deadlines are vital for this position.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline.
  • Five years related experience.
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Related Master’s Degree
  • Experience/training in social science research methodology
  • Advanced statistical skills and knowledge of SAS, SPSS, or STATA.

JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience.
