Executive Director, PBAC (Palouse Basin Aquifer Committee)


Location: Moscow

Pay Range: $67,412.80 or higher depending on experience

Position Summary:
The Executive Director performs general management, project management, and administrative work in support of the Committee's administrative, research and outreach mission. The position facilitates committee activities and guides the Committee as work progresses on recommendations for large-scale water supply projects. The PBAC Executive Director is a UI employee housed within the Facilities Unit. The Executive Director is supervised by the PBAC Committee Chair with a dotted line to the Director of Facilities.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Project management and working with contracts
  • Developing and managing budgets
  • Serving in a liaison role with the general public, engaging in information-seeking, disseminating information, and organizing events and activities in support of the organization’s mission.
  • Summarizing and explaining technical information to a lay audience





Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, administration or a science field
  • Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of people with varied interests
  • Knowledge of and experience related to the Palouse Basin aquifer
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Self-motivator and proactive in business dealings
  • Good written and oral communications skills
  • Familiarity with computer systems including Windows, MS Office and GIS
