Job Summary

The ATLAS Institute at CU Boulder welcomes applications for a Lab Assistant to participate in setting up the TYPO Lab.

Who We Are

TYPO Lab, directed by Joel Swanson, is an experimental studio for creative work and research related to the technologies of language. The lab houses a wide range of text-based technologies, from manual typewriters to software for natural language processing. The goal of the lab is to give students and faculty the opportunity to explore the various media and methods of words so that they can more deeply appreciate and explore contemporary technologies of language.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Design and develop the TYPOlab.org website, designing and developing social media presence for the TYPO Lab, designing and developing visual communication and signage for TYPO lab, and assisting with various lab research and creative project.

What We Can Offer

The hire rate for this position will be $20.00 per hour.

What We Require

• Must be proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience with graphic design and typography.
• Experience with web design and social media.

What You Will Need

• Must be able to work independently on various research and creative projects.

What We Would Like You to Have

• Experience in the TYPO Lab.
• An undergraduate Degree in a technical logical creative or design-based field.
