About this Opportunity

Lifetime Learning is welcoming applications for an Academic and Career Success Coach. This is a remote position. The Academic and Career Success Coach will manage a roster of Lifetime Learning participants in various career trainings and help individuals enrolled in courses obtain employment which pay a living wage and have opportunities for advancement and increased employment options. This person will also manage leads for Amazon Career Choice Degree track, or Amazon Associates wanting to enter a Bachelor degree program at Ball State by assisting and guiding the individual through the admission process.

Position Function

The Academic and Career Success Coach will manage a roster of Lifetime Learning participants in various career trainings and help individuals enrolled in courses obtain employment which pay a living wage and have opportunities for advancement and increased employment options. This person will also manage leads for Amazon Career Choice Degree track, or Amazon Associates wanting to enter a Bachelor degree program at Ball State by assisting and guiding the individual through the admission process. The Academic and Career Success Coach will be the point person for Credit for Prior Learning evaluation process by funneling the individual to the correct department to access credit.

The Academic and Career Success Coach is responsible for providing intake, assessments, job coaching support, career services, employment placement to participants and adhering to all program implementation requirements. The successful candidate will be service-oriented, flexible, and collaborative to positively support adult participants in identifying strengths, aligning them with career paths, overcoming obstacles to success, completing certification exams, and obtaining employment. This is a remote position.


Minimum Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

Minimum Experience

Two years of relevant experience (for example: teaching, counseling, advising, recruitment, admissions, program support/administration).

Minimum Other

Excellent oral and written communication skills; high degree of commitment to customer service and student success; strong focus on detail and task completion; highly organized.

Authorization to work in the US

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Education

Master’s degree.

Preferred Experience

Direct experience assisting students; additional years of related experience.

Preferred Other

Pre-Employment Screening

Requires successful completion of a background check.

Manage the intake of a roster of Lifetime Learning participants focused primarily on the employer partnership program Amazon Career Choice Career Pathways Program, as well as other employer education benefits and grant programs.
