Position Summary

E-l earning Digital Solutions produces and distributes engaging digital products — videos, motion graphics, animations, VR, and digital print—through web, streaming, and LMS platforms that promote student, faculty and staff success throughout the Dallas College community. 



The Video Producer : 
  • Creates and develops innovative and engaging content for distribution across Dallas College and the community .

  • Leads multiple projects simultaneously and manages each from concept to delivery .

  • Adapts content to the technical and aesthetic standards required for a variety of projects.

  • Collaborates closely with teams responsible for content creation and distribution.

  • Ensures all projects meet client needs and the mission of Dallas College.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Understand s the mission and vision of Dallas College. 

  • Expertise in using Adobe Creative Suite applications.

  • Experience working effectively in a diverse team and fast-paced environment.

  • Proven skills with preproduction/planning, scriptwriting, and studio/field production.

  • Demonstrated expertise using professional cameras, lighting instruments, audio recording equipment, editing, audio and graphics software.

  • Demonstrated ability to produce projects that meet client objectives.

  • Problem solver who can produce quality content and stay focused under constantly shifting conditions and priorities.

  • Ability to meet deadlines, manage a high volume of daily tasks, and prioritize when needed.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks/projects while ensuring the highest level of accuracy and quality.

  • Proven ability to create a variety of content that conveys each project’s message effectively to the target audience.

  • Impeccable attention to detail and strong organizational skills .

  • Proven ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.

  • Ability to identify and follow policies and procedures assigned to perform tasks and projects.

  • Ability to present concepts and receive direction.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated experience providing effective customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develops, designs and creates video content for delivery in a variety of distribution platforms.

  • Actively participates in brainstorming sessions and supports creative teams as needed.

  • Develops and writes scripts for required projects.

  • Allocates production resources to ensure deadlines are met.

  • Plans video shoots ; scouts and reserves locations.

  • Develops production schedules.

  • Ensures appropriate equipment and staff is available for all projects.

  • Casts talent when required.

  • Makes transportation arrangements for cast and crew.

  • In post production, imports and organizes raw media, edits picture and sound files, imports graphics, adds music/narration/ sfx, completes audio mix and color correction, and renders final program file.

  • Manages, organizes, and archives project files according to department protocols.

  • Ensures all media meets Dallas College accessibility policies.

  • Provides correct file formats for distribution.

  • Ensures that all content is consistent in terms of messaging, style, quality, and tone to meet the needs of end users, both internal and external customers.

  • Builds effective relationships with clients to enrich collaboration and understanding of project objectives.

  • Makes quick revisions, deletions, and additions to projects in order to respond to client requests and audience impact.

  • Scales work appropriately to project timelines, content lifespan and audience relevance.

  • Incorporates emotional appeals into all design choices.

  • Stays up-to-date and presents proposals on new digital production technologies.

  • Instructs, motivates, and supervises students in department’s internship program.

  • Completes required Dallas College Professional Development training per academic year.

  • Performs other job duties as required.

Physical Requirements

Normal physical job functions performed within a standard office environment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to individuals with physical challenges to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.



Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree or higher in related field.

  • Three (3) years of related work experience.

  • P ortfolio samples required with application.

  • Work hours may extend beyond the normal 8am to 5pm, Monday-Friday, workday.

  • Must have a current driver’s license for off-site travel.

  • Official transcripts required.
