Job Description:
This position is accountable for promoting, facilitating, managing, and evaluating the placement of graduate nursing students into clinical settings within multiple health care systems in Minnesota. This position initiates and maintains clinical contracts, manages student requests through The Clinical Coordination Partnership (TCCP) for Advanced Practice Students, manages the onboarding of students into clinical settings, tracks students placed, manages graduate student progress through the Typhon Group Student Tracking System for Health Education, and develops new clinical sites to enable program growth.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field plus two years of professional experience in a health-related field (Conferred on an official transcript at the time of application).



  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, analyze data, and make decisions.

  • Demonstrated effective professional human relations, verbal, and written communication skills (e.g., reports, email).

  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.

  • Functional knowledge of database software and management (e.g., FileMaker Pro), word processing, web maintenance, and student tracking processes.

  • Class D Driver’s License

  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.




Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in a health-related field plus one year of professional experience in a health-related field (Conferred on an official transcript at the time of application).



  • Ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, graduate students, agency administrators, and community practitioners from diverse backgrounds.

  • Familiarity with nursing clinical practice settings in Minnesota; understanding of primary, acute and tertiary health care settings.

  • Experience with on-campus and distance education.

  • Experience with project management software and cloud platforms for developing and managing databases and using this technology to evaluate or examine data.

  • Experience working in an academic or health care setting.




Other Requirements:
Work safely at all times, which includes but is not limited to, participating and completing all required safety trainings, as well as performing all job tasks in accordance with Minnesota State University, Mankato policies and procedures utilizing appropriate tools, equipment and personal protective equipment.

The person filling this position could work remotely with occasional travel to Edina where the graduate program is based. Travel to meetings at clinical sites may be required. A shared office in Edina could be provided. Must have a valid driver’s license.
Position requires physical mobility within clinical and academic environments and ability to travel to clinical locations. Needs to be able to work long hours at a computer.

Based on the essential functions of this positions, MMB Policy #1422, and University policies relating to flexible work, this position is eligible for the following work modes:
  • Telework: Up to 90% of the time. A position with a work arrangement that allows an employee to perform work on a regular basis at a telework location that is not the employee’s permanent/principal work location.



  • Mobile Work: Up to 10% of the time. A position where the employee travels continuously for work, or who performs work at multiple locations outside of an agency office, such as a field location or other site.
