The coordinator, student financial services organizes financial aid systems and processes to ensure timely and accurate awarding information for students, families, and employees of Lindenwood University.

Job Responsibilities and Execution
- Processes financial aid applications in a timely manner
- Troubleshoots system errors and data imports and exports as necessary to ensure appropriate awarding and disbursing of aid
- Awards financial aid per federal, state, and institutional policies
- Performs federal verifications and resolves aid eligibility issues
- Imports and exports data between Lindenwood University and federal and state agencies
- Reconciles federal, state, and institutional aid programs
- Performs return of Title IV calculations
- Performs and reviews standards of academic progress
- Reviews student aid refund reports for accuracy
- Participates in recruiting and other enrollment-driven events, including public speaking and presentations at high schools and enrollment events
- Supports the mission of the University and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence
- Models, supports, and holds others accountable to the University’s values – integrity, dedication, excellence, creativity, and teamwork
- Offers ideas and suggestions for improving student financial aid processes
- Reviews, sends, and tracks communications for Student Financial Services (SFS), ensuring timely delivery to students and families
- Works with University offices and external constituents to resolve aid processing, certification, and disbursement issues
- Assists in the preparation and maintenance of student files
- Participates in workshops and professional development opportunities with the SFS team and with external agencies
Required Qualifications – An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in financial aid or student accounts receivables
- Experience with student financial services model preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
- Ability to coordinate with other departments
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with staff and students
- Highly organized with the ability to multi-task
- Strong professional integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to use good judgment and think critically
- Knowledge of general office software, particularly Microsoft Office Suite and financial aid proprietary applications (Workday, Common Origination and Disbursement [COD], EDExpress, and National Student Loan Data System [NSLDS])
- Strong public speaking skills
- General office setting
- Ability to work effectively at a computer for up to eight hours daily
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function
- Adequately mobile to attend meetings and events across campus
