Department Summary

Position Summary

The University of Oregon women's basketball Director of Player Development will be responsible for several crucial aspects of sustaining the success of the women's basketball program. The Director of Player Development is responsible for managing on-court player development and student-athlete experience, monitoring and evaluating student-athletes in the NCAA Transfer Portal, recruiting, and scouting, game preparation, and film review.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in Division I basketball as a player or coach.

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills and the ability to multi-task and respond to immediate needs while managing day-to-day activities.
  • Ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students from a variety of diverse backgrounds.
  • Understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Ability to work in a networked way, emphasizing collaboration in a complex environment.
  • Ability to perform detail-oriented work accurately and to communicate effectively with a diverse population.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with all constituents.
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, XO's video systems, and database technologies.

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Division I coaching, playing and/or recruiting experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with recruiting and scouting software.
