Assistant/Associate Professor of Esports

The selected candidate will teach 12 to 15 credit hours of undergraduate level courses each semester from the college’s curriculum in the Esports Cybersecurity, Esports Video Game Design and Esports Management major programs, to include supervision of students in laboratory, research, and field experiences. Participation in professional meetings, conducting scholarly research, academic advisement of students and service on various college committees represent additional duties.

A Master’s degree in Esports is the minimum qualification for this position.  However, an earned Ph.D. in Esports or a related area along with previous college-level teaching experience is strongly preferred.

The selected candidate will teach 12 to 15 credit hours of undergraduate level courses each semester from the college’s curriculum in the Supply Chain Management major program, to include supervision of students in laboratory, research, and field experiences. Participation in professional meetings, conducting scholarly research, academic advisement of students and service on various college committees represent additional duties.

A Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management is the minimum qualification for this position.  However, an earned Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management or a related area along with previous college-level teaching experience is strongly preferred.

Assistant/Associate Professor of Mass Communications

The selected candidate will teach 12 to 15 credit hours of undergraduate level courses each semester from the college’s curriculum in the Mass Communications major program, to include supervision and assessment of students in the production of media-related artifacts, conducting field activities and engaging in academic research. Participation in professional meetings, conducting scholarly research, academic advisement of students and service on various college committees represent additional duties.

A Master’s degree in Mass Communications is the minimum qualification for this position.  However, an earned Ph.D. along with previous college-level teaching experience is strongly preferred.

Instructor of History

The selected candidate will teach 12 to 15 credit hours of undergraduate level courses each semester from the college’s curriculum in the General Education program, specifically World History and African American History courses. Additional duties include academic advisement of students and participating in professional meetings, and service on various college committees.

A Master’s degree in History is the minimum qualification for this position. However, an earned Ph.D. along with previous college-level teaching experience is strongly preferred.

Director of Communications

Directs and implements the college’s public relations strategies. Manages media relations, announcements, editorial placement, and speaking opportunities. Prepares and distributes all news about the College activities to the website, social media platforms, community newspapers, radio stations and other outlets. Compiles, publishes weekly newsletter, “The Campus Report” and “The Update”. Ensures that appropriate articles and photographs are available and maintains all audio-visual materials relative to the College. Assists in supporting the College programs of fundraising, grant development, alumni relations, and constituent relations. Conducts research on current trends in social media and technology. Serves on the Emergency Preparedness Committee. Bachelor’s Degree required.

Master’s Degree preferred with five (5) years experience in public relations and communications. Strong analytical, problem solving, oral and written communication skills desired. 

Director of Business Affairs

Serves as the Chief Financial Officer for the college and provides oversight, supervision, and leadership for all accounting and financial operations. Assist the President with planning long-term financial goals and ensures sound fiscal management of the college’s fiscal and administrative internal control practices. Oversees the operating budget and the accounting department. Monitors bookkeeping activities and establishes accounting policies and procedures. Responsible for financial consulting, tax administration, financial governmental reporting, and audits. Demonstrates integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information.

Bachelor’s Degree required with seven (7) years experience in higher education financial operations management. Must possess strong critical thinking abilities to evaluate financial data and documentation and provide solutions.

Director of Financial Aid

Responsible for the overall leadership, supervision, and management of the Financial Aid Office.  Administer all scholarships Title IV funds, State and institutional financial aid awards to eligible students attending Morris College. Assist with the annual audit process of all federal and state funds.  Prepare reports required by Federal and state agencies regarding the use of financial aid awards.

Bachelor’s Degree required with Five (5) years experience in financial aid programs.  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
