Vice President of Transplant - Standing Faculty Associate or Full Professor

The Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in either the non-tenure clinician educator track or the tenure track. Expertise is required in the specific area of transplantation surgery. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree with completion of an ACGME-accredited general surgery residency and transplant surgery fellowship, board certification in transplant surgery or hold equivalent international certification as well as UNOS certification. Either existing medical licensure or eligibility for licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Teaching responsibilities may include instruction of medical students, surgical residents and transplant fellows.
Clinical responsibilities may include surgical care for transplant patients.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include studies in transplantation surgery and/or associated scientific fields. Strong experience with, and productivity in, basic, translational, and/or clinical research will be preferred.
