Salary Range: Classification Range $4,170 - $7,545 per month(Hiring range depending on qualifications, not anticipated to exceed $4,170 - $5,350 per month)

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; Occasional early morning, evening and/or weekend hours. This is a temporary position to end on or before June 30, 2024 with a possibility of renewal on an annual basis if funds and/or program needs exist.

About the Position:

The Division of Information Technology (IT) strives to be a strategic, innovative and best‐in‐class IT organization that provides a leading‐edge technology environment for students, faculty and staff to advance the University's mission, vision and goals. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our Training team as the Administrative Analyst/Specialist - Exempt I. The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind that is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.

Under the general direction of the Director for IT Records, this position designs and develops training courses and materials through the analysis of learning needs and objectives, and the development of appropriate technology-based and/or distributed delivery systems to meet those needs. Creates documentation and assists in maintaining a documentation repository to provide written information regarding established methodologies for accomplishing information processing within defined areas of campus operations. Proactively addresses customer's needs through analyzing their operational needs and constraints and working with Information Technology staff to develop effective methodologies, solutions, and enhancements. In addition, this position is responsible for providing support to all campus populations using the CSU's systemwide Learning Management Systems (LMS). Serves as the contact for several critical training areas including compliance and professional development. This position is part of a team and works together to accomplish goals. Coordinates with various functional departments to ensure timelines and scope of work are met. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university and/or the equivalent training and administrative work experience involving the study, analysis, evaluation, development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices or programs plus two years of related experience.

Working knowledge of and the ability to apply standard theories, principles, practices, and techniques applicable to the program or administrative specialty to develop conclusions and make recommendations. Thorough knowledge of policies, procedures, and outside regulations pertaining to the applicable program or administrative specialty. Working knowledge of operational and fiscal analysis and techniques. Ability to take initiative and plan, organize, coordinate, and perform work in various situations where numerous and diverse demands are involved. Skilled in research, development, and evaluation of policies and programs. Ability to collect, evaluate, and interpret data to develop sound conclusions and make appropriate recommendations. Expertise investigating and analyzing problems with broad administrative impact and implications. Ability to anticipate problems and address them proactively. Demonstrated ability to effectively interpret, organize, and present information and ideas in written or presentation form. Ability to train others on new skills and procedures and provide lead work direction.

Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.
