Pay Range: $43.01/hour

Position Summary: Johnson County Community College is seeking part-time temporary clinical instructors to teach in the areas of Med/Surg, Behavioral Health or Pediatrics.

The PTT nursing faculty will be responsible for working with students in the clinical setting one day a week. This individual may be asked to be available occasionally for on campus activities as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university; candidates with a BSN and requisite experience will be considered
• An active RN license in both Kansas and Missouri, or Nurse Licensure Compact
• Current nursing experience in the area being taught
• A minimum of three years full-time or equivalent nursing experience within the last five years
• Ability to multitask; process multiple sources of information quickly
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work closely with students, collaborating with staff nurses, to ensure a quality, hands-on learning experience in a nursing area
• This role requires supervision of students and excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing with weekly evaluations

Preferred Qualifications:

• One to three years relevant teaching experience in nursing education
• Prior teaching experience
