Animation Temporary Faculty Position

The Department of Art & Design at Kutztown University invites applications for a part-time temporary position in Fall 2023 and/or Spring 2024 in 3D Modeling and Rendering and/or Animation. In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, performance review and evaluation of faculty is based on effective teaching and fulfillment of professional responsibilities; continuing scholarly growth and professional development; and service. Required: Master's degree in art or a related area; strong professional portfolio of personal and student artwork; one-year college-level teaching experience or equivalent professional experience in the animation field; and proficiency in related software including Maya, Mudbox, Zbrush, Toon Boom Harmony, Storyboard Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition, Premiere Pro, After Effects etc.

Class responsibilities: The candidate may teach 3D Modeling and Rendering and/or Animation courses. Courses are taught face-to-face. If course format were to change to hybrid or online, faculty will be required to successfully complete the Teaching Online Certification Course offered through Kutztown University. A successful interview and demonstration of relevant ability required.
