POSITION: Vice President for Academic Affairs
SALARY: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Excellent benefit package. Application review begins immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
Peru State College has a bright and exciting future, and we’re looking for an energetic, visionary, collaborative, and creative Vice President for Academic Affairs to help lead us there.
Part of the Nebraska State College System, Peru State embraces a bold and transformational mission: to provide an excellent education to every student who wants it. As an “open-access” institution, Peru State welcomes students from all backgrounds and provides world-class levels of support to help every student succeed. We don’t weed students out—we weed them in. And our tuition is among the lowest in the nation, to help as many students as possible earn a college degree.
As the Chief Academic Officer of the College, the VPAA reports directly to the President and serves on the President’s Cabinet. The VPAA provides strategic leadership, vision, and administrative management for all academic programs and services at the College.
Peru State College’s next VPAA will be:
- A scholar who values the important role of faculty, the culture of each discipline, and shared governance, and who is respectful of diverse views and opinions. A highly motivated, innovative leader and visionary who has a comprehensive understanding of higher education and is experienced in all aspects of teaching and learning. An advocate for student-centered learning both on campus and online, with a passion for the College’s open-access mission and the role this mission plays in higher education. A leader in embracing the College’s Strategic Plan and its commitment to building a culture of engagement. A collaborative partner who works with everyone in the campus community to ensure student success and maintain high levels of quality in the undergraduate and graduate programs. A strong advocate for Peru State College, partnering with the President in outreach and campus engagement.
Requirements for the position include:
- An earned doctorate from a regionally accredited institution. A proven record of teaching excellence and scholarly achievement. A career of progressively responsible academic leadership and administrative experience at the level of dean or above.
This position is subject to veteran’s preference.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Apply online at www.peru.edu.
