Description

The Department of Biology at the College of the Holy Cross invites applications for a visiting part-time faculty position for the 2023–2024 academic year to begin in August 2023. In the fall, this faculty member will teach One section of the Environmental Science course (BIOL 117), as well as one section of Biological Principles (BIOL 114 – non-majors). In the spring, this faculty member will teach two sections Environmental Science course (BIOL 117).

The Department of Biology is committed to providing support and mentorship of our visiting faculty to ensure future success within their chosen career path. The successful candidate will be provided with significant mentorship in the introductory biology laboratory course, as well as mentoring in other areas of teaching and in their continued scholarship efforts, as appropriate. There are no required service or scholarship expectations in this position. The Department of Biology at Holy Cross consists of faculty that span the breadth of Biology and participate in interdisciplinary programs including Environmental Studies, Neuroscience, and Biochemistry.

Qualifications

A Ph.D. (or ABD) in biology or related fields. Previous teaching experience is preferred.
