Position Purpose
Partners with HR colleagues and key stakeholders across the institution to support all compensation and salary planning initiatives including market research and analysis, internal equity analysis, annual merit review administration and client support including ad-hoc studies and/or projects. Leads and supports on-going administrative processes, enhances Compensation department efficiency and improves current practices. Provides project management support and leads small to medium projects or multiple workstreams within medium to large scale projects. Provides mentoring and guidance to colleagues as needed or required. Other miscellaneous duties as required.

Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Four years experience in an Analyst role (e.g. HR or Finance)
- Project management or program implementation experience
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel (must be able to run pivots and vlookups)
- Exercises the highest degree of confidentiality, professionalism and integrity
- Excellent problem solving, quantitative and analytical skills, and ability to tie analysis and recommendations to broader HR or organizational strategy and culture
- Strong organization skill, able to prioritize appropriately, manage multiple tasks and deadlines and adapt to change
- Strong verbal and written communication skill.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Compensation Analyst experience
- Experience with MarketPay or similar application
- Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Suite; ability to learn new software with ease

Leads and/or conducts compensation administration activities in support of all compensation programs and projects including annual merit cycle, handling of position requisitions, job evaluation and benchmarking, reporting, system maintenance and user support, and compliance and audit readiness activities.

Provides expertise and consultative guidance to a variety of stakeholders (HR, divisions/departments across campus) to influence and guide stakeholder to the appropriate solution. Involves HR and/or Division leaders and colleagues as appropriate

Leads the annual survey participation cycle including participation in key compensation surveys, ensuring quality and accuracy of the submission. Drives interactions with survey vendors to ensure understanding of methodology and to influence quality and results of survey content and report relative to benchmarking best practices.
