Position : Adjunct Lecturer

Department : Department of Nutrition and Public Health

Classification : Part-time, Non-benefit eligible

Brief overview of duties : Adjunct Lecturer positions available in the MPH Program within the Department of Nutrition and Public Health, College of Science and Health. Adjunct faculty teach on a per-course basis. We are seeking individuals with a public health background or specialty in biostatistics/epidemiology (requires 18 graduate credit hours of either).

Classes currently available for Fall 2023 (other classes may also be available):

PBHL 5501 Introduction to Public Health . Explores the history, basic structures and operations of public health and health care delivery systems based on Essential Public Health Services. 3 semester credit hours. In person preferred .

PBHL 6110 Applied Linear Models . The course commences with the basic foundations for regression and progresses to simple and multiple linear regression, the associated hypotheses, model assumptions and diagnostics, model building, and common regression pitfalls. Computing and data lab will cover techniques and strategies for linear regression in SPSS. Prerequisites: PBHL 5502 Intro to Biostatistics and PBHL 5504 Intro to Epidemiology. 3 semester credit hours. Online .

PBHL 6409 Applied Epidemiology. Focuses on the processes involved in epidemiologic investigations with application to sample cases. Prerequisite: PBHL 5504 Intro to Epidemiology. 3 semester credit hours. Online .

Required Qualifications:

PhD or DrPH preferred, but MPH degree considered, from an accredited non-profit or government sponsored institution. Experience working in the public health field is desired. Applicants with experience in online education environment will be given preference for online courses. Applicants must reside locally and have legal authority to work in the USA.
