Senior Student Service Coordinator – Writing Center
Job Description
The Senior Student Service Coordinator position will provide one-on-one writing support for graduate students, staff, and faculty, as well as collaborate with writing groups and writing workshop programming across campus.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Provide synchronous one-on-one writing support services to MU graduate students, staff, and faculty.
- Provide asynchronous one-on-one writing support services to MU graduate students, staff, and faculty via the Online Writery.
- Collaborate with Graduate School staff to coordinate writing groups, writing retreats, and writing workshops specific to MU graduate student needs.
- Provide outreach to various graduate organizations, groups, and events about the Writing Center’s resources.
- Assist and collaborate with Writing Center administration as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
$50,367 - $52,000 annually

Shift
8am-5pm Monday through Friday with some nights and weekend
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in English, or other writing-related discipline.
- Experience teaching writing, composition, TESOL, or other relevant courses.
- Familiarity with writing center scholarship.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills across diverse groups of students and staff
