Job Details
The Executive Director of Executive Education will report to the Senior Associate Dean of Education within the Tepper School of Business and will be responsible for the overall success of the Executive Education unit. This position will be responsible for the overall operational strategic direction and management of non-degree programs offered, business development, and office operations. The Executive Director will support the design and launch of new programs as well as growing current custom and open-enrollment programs. This position will work closely with designated faculty members, and the Senior Associate Dean for Education who will lead the academic direction of the Executive Education offerings. This position will also have ultimate responsibility for budgetary oversight and authority for both revenue generation as well as net income. Improving the profitability of the Executive Education unit is a critical strategic objective of the Tepper School Dean’s office, and will be a primary focus and expectation for the new ED.
The Executive Director will lead a team of dedicated executive education professionals and will be responsible for providing coaching and mentorship on a regular basis. The position will effectively interact with a varied population of both internal and external partners functioning with the highest level of integrity.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Provide overall operational strategic direction of the
Executive Education unit;
- Direct and manage the development and marketing of non-degree
program offerings within Tepper’s Executive Education unit;
- Lead the business development efforts for the Executive
Education programs;
- Support the design and launch of existing and new custom and
open-enrollment programs to drive revenue generation as well as net
income;
- Direct the operations and budget process of the Executive
Education unit;
- Manage, mentor, and coach the team of dedicated executive
education professionals;
- Ensure that enrollment and/or revenue targets are met or
exceeded for Executive Education programs.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- 10-15 years of experience in executive education and/or adult
learning required
- A combination of education and relevant experience from which
comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
- Successful background check
- The Executive Education unit has an expectation of in-person
office work modality. Flexibility for remote work can be offered
when reasonable
- Typical work schedule is Monday-Friday from 8:30-5:00pm. An
alternate work schedule allowing for evening and weekend hours will
be required on occasion.
