Basic Function:

Education and Experience Requirements:

Essential Functions:

The assistant director of graduate programs and data fills a dual role, supporting the Dolan graduate programs and leading efforts for data gathering, analysis and reporting regarding rankings and accreditation.

Reporting to Assistant Dean of Graduate Programs, the Assistant Director assists with graduate student advising regarding academic curricula, in collaboration with the graduate Program Directors for graduate degrees and certificates. The Assistant Director coordinates with the Registrar’s Office to ensure accuracy in Degree Works and communicate program updates.

The Assistant Director leads administrative efforts to support the newly launched Executive DBA program, including assistance with registration and logistic support for the residency weekends

The Assistant Director leads the process in developing and fine-tuning a standard graduate course schedule, in collaboration with the Department Chairs and Program Directors as well as with administrators from other graduate programs that require Dolan courses.

The Assistant Director supports international graduate programs related to China and India. For example, regarding the Shanghai MBA program, the Assistant Director will process new student records, coordinate admission interviews, register students for courses, provide academic records and verification letters as needed, communicate academic deficiencies, and mail diplomas and transcripts to our partners.

The Fairfield Dolan School is a top ranked business school with graduate specialty rankings in the top 30 in the nation. It is also AACSB accredited, which means it meets the highest level of accreditation standards for business schools. Maintaining the high rankings as well as the accreditation requires the systematic collection and submission of a variety of school data. Reporting to Associate Dean, the Assistant Director leads the School’s efforts for the collection, analysis, formatting, reporting and submission of rankings and accreditation data.

Specifically, the Assistant Director observes the timeline for reporting both accreditation and rankings data, collects the data from within the Dolan School as well as departments across the university, format and submit data on time to rankings agencies and AACSB Accreditation International, and generate necessary reports.

The Assistant Director also performs other duties, responsibilities, and activities as required by supervisors and as departmental/university needs indicate.

This position is based at Fairfield University’s Fairfield, CT campus and is not eligible for immigration assistance.
