Director of The Mosaic Center for Students of Color

The Director of The Mosaic Center for Students of Color (MCSC) is responsible for the development, assessment, and management of a full range of programmatic initiatives that support access, equity, and inclusion for racially/ethnically diverse and underrepresented students of color at the University of Vermont (UVM). The Director provides all operational leadership to all staff and oversees all administrative operations, including fiscal management and fundraising. This position provides leadership in addressing a variety of MCSC constituencies, covering a diverse set of concerns, promoting opportunities, and advancement of educational equity including a focus on student retention.

Minimum Qualifications or equivalent combination of education and experience:

Master’s degree in relevant field and five to seven years professional experience in student administration, planning, program development, budget development, management, and supervision of professionals. Demonstrated experience working collaboratively and effectively with a wide range of higher education personnel, students, community, and broader public constituencies. Demonstrated success working with a range of culturally and ethnically diverse populations. Evidence of specific actions and history of commitment to foster a collaborative multicultural environment.
