PURPOSE
The Multimedia Production Specialist I (videographer), under general supervision, supports development of multimedia and dynamic media projects. Provides video production services and media project support.


RESPONSIBILITIES
VIDEO PRE-PRODUCTION - 30%
  • Conceptualizes and coordinates content and design services.
  • Supports development and production of visualization projects.
  • Prioritizes, organizes, and schedules work assignments and projects.
  • Designs and constructs lighting arrangements for studio and location video productions.
  • Designs and constructs set pieces and props for studio productions.


VIDEO PRODUCTION - 40%
  • Produces, records, and directs promotional, commercial, and news videos.
  • Sets up and operates cameras, lighting units, microphones, and other equipment for field production.
  • Maintains knowledge of latest video editing software, studio technology, and production equipment.


VIDEO POST-PRODUCTION - 30%
  • Publishes and edits promotional, commercial, and news videos.
  • Performs video post-production tasks including logging footage, creating rough cuts, and revised and final versions of video clips.
  • Evaluates products and services for quality standards.
  • Maintains University image identity standards.


WHAT YOU WILL NEED
  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Additional experience may be considered as a substitute for minimum education: Associate's degree and 2 years of experience.
  • Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook and Excel.)
  • Knowledge of planning and executing marketing plans with regards to multimedia preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Ability to conceptually understand instructional needs and translate them in multimedia designs.
  • Excellent written communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift moderately heavy objects.


WHAT THEY WOULD LIKE TO SEE
  • Video portfolio/demo reel provided with application is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the entire Adobe Creative Cloud - with a particular experience in Premiere (expert level), and Photoshop (fluent)
  • Understanding of Mac operating system and Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with Red camera workflow
  • Experience with 32-bit float audio solid state drives
  • Experience using mini drones (no drone license required)
  • Experience working in higher education (1-3 years preferred)
  • Experiencing managing interns
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Experience working directly with clients to book interviews, create timelines, and manage deadlines
  • Experience scouting locations and vetting talent
  • Ability to work some nights and weekends with advanced notice.


SALARY: $54,000 - $56,000/ANNUAL, DEPENDENT UPON EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE.
