The Manager, Digital Content works closely with the Director of Marketing and the Senior Manager of Creative Services to co-vision, co-design, create, circulate, and monitor digital communications via paid and organic social media, video, emails, and the blog. These communications are all related to ArtsEmerson's year-round offerings with a primary goal of driving ticket sales and engaging our audience with meaningful content and opportunities to communicate. The Manager, Digital Content is expected to uphold the organization's brand and voice, bring strong creativity, strategic communication skills, organization, and attention to detail to all of ArtsEmerson's digital communications with the public.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
  • Collaborate with Director of Marketing and the Senior Manager of Creative Services on strategy, planning, and execution of ArtsEmerson's digital content in a variety of mediums and platforms.
  • Designing and circulating digital content; revising after suggested edits.
  • Creating and maintaining a calendar of planned email and social media content.
  • Building, circulating, revising and scheduling emails to various segments of the organization's email database.
  • Support the creation, editing, uploading and distribution of videos.
  • Co-design social media to be consistent in terms of the ArtsEmerson brand.
  • Maintain a highly active presence on ArtsEmerson social media accounts, triaging comments and requests that come through social media portals.
  • Use KPI's to track the success of email, video and social media to improve content and pivot when necessary.


QUALIFICATIONS - Qualifications are deemed required or preferred and represent what is needed to effectively perform job.
  • Degree in digital communications or fields related to social media, digital content and email and content marketing
  • A minimum of 2 years of social media and digital communications expertise as a central responsibility, preferably for a community-centered project or program and in collaboration with an executive-level director and co-collaborator
  • Experience with managing and deploying email campaigns
  • Experience with strategic minimal and complex visual and multi-media social media story design and circulation strategies.

  • Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and Tik Tok.
  • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication, problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Knowledge and passion for theatre and the performing arts
  • Action-oriented and self-motivated who can think strategically and imaginatively
  • Ability to have continuous oral and written communication with students, co-workers and supervisors is essential.
  • Ability to work independently and/or collaboratively and with curiosity.
  • Ability to be flexible and aligned with community time schedules and needs, including shifting work hours when needed to morning, evening or weekend events.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • A deep desire and commitment to personal ongoing learning and development

COMPENSATION

Starting salary for this position will be between $54,274.00 - $ 66,486 annually, commensurate with experience.

This position is primarily a hybrid role with mandatory days in the office as needed. The hybrid arrangement will be made upon hire. Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the Boston campus in order to ensure operational effectiveness.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36.25
