Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Manager of Custodial Services, deliver and coordinate the supply of Custodial supplies and equipment throughout the campus. Complete routine custodial duties as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and coordinate the supply of Custodial supplies and equipment throughout the campus.
- Log and distribute Custodial supply orders.
- Enter time into integrated facilities management system (PlanOn).
- Assist in the proper handling of surplus property for re-use and recycling.
- Others related duties as required.
- Knowledge of tools and skills of the trade as demonstrated by a
practical exam.
- Ability to perform strenuous manual labor associated with
moving. Must be physically able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted and up
to 100 lbs. with assistance.
- Experience working in a university or large institutional
setting.
- Solid work record with a strong emphasis on personal
integrity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform basic daily recordkeeping using a
computerized system.
- Follows all University and department policies, procedures, and
guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, and
non-discrimination policies and procedures.
- Maintains a safe work environment.
- Communicates with the University community in a civil
manner.

Education and Experience
Equivalent to a high school diploma and a solid work history required. Six months of experience as a trades assistant or laborer, or six months of hands-on experience in general facilities and systems maintenance and repair work preferred.
Physical Summary
Heavy work - Job involves lifting more than 40 pounds. Approximately half of the incumbent's time will be spent walking, standing, squatting, kneeling, or climbing.
Licenses / Certificates
Valid California Driver's License is required. Certified forklift operator's license preferred.

Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources.
Hiring Range: $3,338 - $5,401 per month commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.
CSU Classification Salary Range: $3,338 - $5,401 per month.
Benefits

Time Base
1.0 time-base, 40 hours per week.
Duration of Appointment
