Job Summary/Basic Functions

Works directly with the Electric Shop Supervisor on a daily basis as need arises, to assure that all University electrical systems operate at the highest efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: one year of work experience

Licensure & Certifications: Current Kentucky Electrical License
Training and experience acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience in the electrical field.

Job Duties:

• 40% - Performs the planning, installation, maintenance and repair of the University Electrical Systems - (Essential)
• 40% - Performs routine maintenance on University electrical equipment as required by established procedures - (Essential)
• 10% - Assists in the oversight of inventory control of required repair parts and tools as outlined in established procedures. - (Essential)
• 10% - Supports the smooth and efficient operations of the department and the University - (Essential)
