Work Schedule, Hours per week: 40 hours per week

Pay Range: $ 48,683.00 - $81,416.00 and in alignment with the Master Agreement.

Pay Grade: 9MOBU

Position Summary: The Electrical Technology program is seeking a qualified candidate for Associate Professor. This candidate is expected to serve as a content expert in all electrical related courses. Responsibilities include teaching all aspects of electrical technology including theory, methods, materials, print reading, specifications, electrical code and inspection. Most courses include laboratory and lecture sections, and are offered during the day and evening hours.

In addition, this candidate will develop networks within the local electrical industry beneficial to students and the program. Participation in professional development and service to the division, college and community is required. Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor. This is a full-time regular benefit eligible position.

Required Qualifications:
  • 7 or more years of electrical field experience and current Journeyman License
    -or-
  • AAS degree with 5 or more years of electrical field experience and current Journeyman License
  • Residential and commercial electrical construction experience
  • Solar photovoltaic systems installation and maintenance experience
  • Prior experience teaching in a vocational setting
  • Demonstrate current industry knowledge
  • Familiarity with safety in the construction field
  • Ability to use various presentation methods to lecture and demonstrate within a class or lab environment to diverse audiences
  • Be capable of working with a variety of industrial tools and installation operations in a lab environment
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Work independently or with a team to produce quality results in a timely manner

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors or advanced degree plus a minimum of 3 years experience working in the electrical industry
    Master electrician license
  • Prior experience developing curriculum and lesson plans
