The Assistant Cheer Coach will assist the Head Cheerleading Coach with all aspects of the Cheerleading Program.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Demonstrate a professional philosophy that supports student-athletes' welfare and adheres to the missions of MSSU and the NCAA.

Assess talent and recruit prospective student-athletes.

Assist with team travel.

Effectively instruct cheerleaders on aspects of technique, lifts, and routines.

Demonstrate fiscal accountability through budget management and fundraising.

Assist in equipment control and inventory

Develop and maintain quality relationships within the community both on and off-campus.

Perform other related duties as required.

Must attend all home football and basketball games.

Education, Experience, and Licenses

Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred.

Work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required; or any combination of education and experience.

CPR/AED, or ability to be certified

Knowledge of USA Cheer rules and regulations require.

Certification in USA Cheer rules and regulations course completed within 90 days of hire.
