JOB DESCRIPTION
The University of Dallas Gupta College of Business invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor of Finance for the 2023-24 academic year. This visiting finance position includes instruction at the graduate levels. Job responsibilities include teaching three courses per semester (total of six courses per academic year).
Research expectations include maintaining AACSB scholarly academic (SA) status through peer-reviewed publications in the teaching discipline or closely related field. Service responsibilities include professional or industry association engagement and college and university committee activities.

Start date is Fall 2023.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and deliver lectures to undergraduate and graduate students. Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records. Plan, evaluate, and revise course content, course materials, and methods of instruction. Maintain regularly scheduled office hours to advise and assist students. Participate in meetings pertinent to faculty professional responsibilities, including standing and ad hoc committees. Perform additional duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENT
- PhD or DBA in Finance or a closely related discipline is required from an AACSB accredited college of business or from a well-regarded, discipline-specific program. Excellent presentation skills and a clear focus on the discipline. Knowledge and practice of a variety of instructional methods that ensure successful student learning.
