JOB SUMMARY:

Provides care, advocacy, and support to all students in crisis and non-crisis situations. Coordinates and completes training for staff and others on the CARE network and the Office of Advocacy and Success services to support service delivery and follow-up. Coordinates departmental response for the Office of Advocacy and Success in the absence of the OAS Director as requested. Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

45% - Essential - Advocacy: Provides care, advocacy, and support for students in crisis and non-crisis situations who are experiencing academic, adjustment, behavioral, wellness, and other personal concerns. Provide consultation to students, faculty, staff, and families. Provides follow-up and response for students identified through the CARE Network. Provides follow-up care for dean on-call contacts and hospital transports. Serves on the university Behavioral Intervention Team in the absence of the OAS Director. Collaborate with campus partners, other university departments, initiatives, and committees.

20% - Essential - Case Management: Coordinate systems within the CARE Network and Office of Advocacy and Success (OAS) that provide care, advocacy, and support for students in crisis and non-crisis situations. Develops, maintains, reviews, and updates CARE policies and procedures as needed. Supports OAS case management system to conduct assessments and file reviews for CARE Network files. Documents, updates, and follow-up on CARE and OAS needs within a timely manner.

15% - Essential - On-call/Crisis Response: Coordinates staff training for a dean on-call (DOC) system to provide support for after-hours hospital transports and some student emergencies. Serve as a member of the Dean On-call (DOC) team and provide support to staff serving in an on-call capacity. Develops and maintains a procedures manual and training materials for the dean on-call system as needed. Provides primary back-up support to the staff serving in a dean on-call capacity. Provides response and follow-up care to dean on-call contacts and hospital transports. Administer response and follow-up to the Emergency Management Council as needed.

10% - Essential - Training/Education/Collaboration: Coordinates and implement initial and on-going training for all CARE file managers on the CARE network, and CARE file management, and OAS policies and procedures. Supports departmental outreach of the campus community related to the CARE Network, services provided by the Office of Advocacy and Success, available resources and support available to students, faculty, and staff. Participates on divisional and university committees. Collaborate with campus partners across Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, and other university divisions.

10% - Essential - Leadership/ Support: Supports OAS case management system to conduct assessments for departmental initiatives. Coordinates departmental response for the Office of Advocacy and Success in the absence of and/or as requested by the OAS Director. Oversees the daily function of the office and staff in the absence of and/or as requested by the OAS Director.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education - Bachelor's Degree and professional experience in human services or social services programs.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Education - Master's Degree in Education, Student Affairs, Higher Education Administration, or Counseling related field.
Work Exp 5+ years professional experience in higher education or human services

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Education - Master's Degree in Education, Student Affairs, Higher Education Administration, or Counseling related field.
Work Exp 5+ years professional experience in higher education or human services

WORKING CONDITIONS:

25% - Overnight Travel

25% - Other: some night and weekend work required

WORK SCHEDULE:

Standard Hrs: 37.5; Expected Salary range ($ 47,343.00 - $ 59,000.00)
