How to Apply:
Job Summary:
The incumbent in this position will teach the first-year music theory sequence for majors and oversee graduate student teaching assistants in the aural skills sequence. In consultation with the music theory area, provide two additional upper-level elective courses for undergraduates and/or graduate students.
Instruction:
1. Teach the first-year music theory major theory sequence (Music 121 & 122: Musica Practica 1 & 2, Music 171 & 172: Aural Skills 1 & 2).
2. Teach two additional upper-level theory electives (Music 623 & 624: Form and Analysis 1 & 2 or other courses to be determined).
3. Provide supervision for 4-5 music theory graduate assistants.
2. Conduct regular office hours
Departmental/ Area Responsibilities;
1. Attend all departmental and area meetings as requested
Responsibilities:
Facilitates classroom, online, and/or laboratory instruction and assists with instructional development and design for a single course or series of courses within an academic discipline to support the delivery of quality instruction. Provides for-credit instruction in formats such as classroom, online and/or laboratory settings, including grading. Serves as an instructor of record.
