Salary & Benefits:        Salary is $44,271.42. Compensation package is comprised of many college paid benefits including health and life insurance, retirement, leave time, and tuition waivers for Santa Fe College and the University of Florida.

Career Pathways promotes Career and Technical Education (CTE) and provides a roadmap to connect high school coursework to future career and college goals by blending practical hands-on experience with rigorous academic coursework. Career Pathways programs prepares students for further education, but also provides students with the skills for immediate employment. Santa Fe College’s Career Pathways Program is seeking a Program Specialist to assist with the coordination, management and operation of the program.


Responsibilities and duties include:
•    Serves as a liaison between secondary CTE Coordinators and SF Career and Technical Education Programs
•    Assists with the process of posting transcripted automatic college credit earned through industry certification or SF assessments for Alachua and Bradford County school districts and fourteen (14) other outlying counties.
•    Develops and maintain local articulation agreements and secondary to postsecondary curriculum alignment.
•    Assists with the development of postsecondary articulation agreements and reporting. 
•    Maintains Career Pathways data tracking, reporting and program analysis. 
•    Assist with writing the Carl D. Perkins Postsecondary Section 132 grant proposals including maintaining the Career Pathways programs of study. 
•    Assists with developing and maintaining the CTE Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment, including developing surveys, facilitating stakeholder meetings, tracking special populations.
•    Develops assessment timeline and schedules in coordination with CTE Program Chairs, and public and private school CTE coordinators. 
•    Serves on multiple Alachua County Career and Technical Education Academy advisory boards to ensure curriculum alignment.
•    Assists in maintaining Career Pathways recruitment materials including: articulation guides, educational and outreach materials are designed and distributed to secondary partners.
•    Assists with Career Pathways program student recruitment by attending academy forums, Career Day and Career and Technical Education recruitment events.
•    Plans and coordinates Career Pathways professional development workshops, conference presentations and technology trainings for secondary CTE teachers in Alachua, Bradford and outlying counties.
•    Maintains and updates the SF Career Pathways website and educational outreach materials. 
•    Perform other duties as assigned.
•    Provides and promotes service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible, and professional engagement.
Reports to: Coordinator, Perkins Programs


QUALIFICATIONS 
Required: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus two (2) years of experience with grant writing and/or postsecondary CTE curriculum alignment is required.    
Additional Requirements:  A criminal background check will be conducted.
Preferred:  Experience writing the Carl D. Perkins Postsecondary Section 132 grants and creating postsecondary programs of study.

•    Ethics – able to demonstrate integrity, professionalism, civility, and a high degree of ethics in all job-related actions.
