Job Summary

The University Video Specialist assists the University Video Manager in the creation of video content and strategies that promote the University through a variety of distribution platforms. The University Video Specialist performs all aspects of video production with an emphasis on being a field producer who directs people and generates excitement.

Responsibilities
  • Organizes, shoots and edits compelling, exciting and relevant video content for a wide variety of uses, primarily in support of the university's promotional, branding and communications efforts
  • Support the university's social media and advertising strategies to optimize their impact with video content
  • Monitors ongoing video trends, concepts and production techniques for a more engaging university presence
  • Responds to client requests on their video production needs
  • Coordinates the management of office equipment as well as training Student Assistants


Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree

Other Required Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere
  • Familiar with operating professional video cameras


Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in video production, marketing or related field

Preferred Experience
  • Experience in Adobe After Effects and Photoshop


Proposed Salary

$18.41 per hour

This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.

  • Ability to edit video cameras

  • Proficiency with Adobe Premiere

SKILLS
  • Effective communication (verbal and written), organizational and human relations skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
