Job Summary/Basic Functions
An EKU Senior Programmer Analyst leads university system users in identifying problems, finding solutions, developing programs and distributing useful resources to solve current and potential informational challenges through analysis, expert knowledge of data, software, programming languages, research of best practices and excellent customer service to facilitate efficient and productive business processes for the university.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Certification or graduation from a four (4) year college or university
Experience: Two years of programming experience is required. Experience with Banner ERP a plus. Must have proven skills working with Oracle database and development software, as well as related computer software and programming languages.
Extensive training and on the job experience programming in an Oracle environment, using SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle Developer tools. Experience with Banner ERP system a plus. Knowledge and proficiency in a wide variety of programming languages. Requires broad working knowledge of a specialized/technical function as well as experience within an institution of higher education. Requires the ability to gather, organize, and analyze data in the completion of daily procedures and provide leadership and oversight to solve non-routine problems. Requires the operation, maintenance, and ability to analyze and solve problems with a sophisticated information system. Experience in Unix environment a plus.
