Sidwell Friends School, a coeducational Quaker day school with campuses in Washington, DC and Bethesda, MD is seeking a part-time seasonal Assistant JV Field Hockey coach for the fall season. The season begins in mid-August and concludes in November.

The JV Coach will be responsible for leading the JV program and assisting the head coach preseason through Varsity post season. Other responsibilities include promoting and creating a positive team culture, developing fundamental skills of the game, enthusiastically participating in running practices as support for the head coach, and coaching games. Goalkeeper coaching experience preferred.

It is expected that Coaches will maintain a high standard of integrity in all aspects of team management, foster a culture that promotes the Quaker values of the School and academic experience of the student, and intentionally integrate school core values as the framework from which to coach. A thoughtful approach and a desire to constantly improve and innovative thinking will be essential to success in this role.

Qualified candidates will possess at least one (1) year of relevant coaching experience at the high school, club and/or college level. A bachelor’s degree is preferred; but not required.

Coaching positions at Sidwell Friends School are campus-based; therefore, this position requires coaching in person.
