The Rutgers Center for Women in Business (CWIB) at Rutgers Business School, NJ, has an opening for a recent Ph.D. recipient interested in a broad range of issues related to gender equity. CWIB supports cutting-edge research focused on gender equity within the workplace. CWIB’s current research is focused on (1) elevating and retaining mid-career women, (2) understanding and supporting intersecting identities and (3) exploring the impact of male allyship in the workplace.

Requirements

The candidate should hold a Ph.D. degree or equivalent doctoral degree in business, organizational behavior, psychology, sociology, or related experience.

Applicants will be evaluated based on (1) current research, (2) the fit between their interests and CWIB’s research agenda, and (3) the contribution they are likely to make in the future.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Publishing original studies in various outlets (e.g., white papers, peer-reviewed outlets, popular press articles),
  • Serving as a collaborator on existing CWIB research projects (e.g., supporting data analyses, writing study results),
  • Tracking the progress of CWIB’s research fellows and regularly informing leadership of progress on each initiative,
  • Grant writing and application submission,
  • Interfacing with corporate partners, ERG Roundtable Members, and CWIB Executive Board Members,
  • Maintaining a current understanding of the gender equity literature and benchmarking how CWIB’s research projects align with the work of other centers focused on gender equity in workplaces.

Post Doctoral Associates will be mentored by current faculty members and executives that partner with CWIB. The initial appointment will be for one year (calendar year), with the option for renewal based on the candidate’s performance during the postdoctoral position.

Potential Salary Range: $50,000 to $70,000

COVID-19 Immunization Requirement

Under Policy 60.1.35 [https://policies.rutgers.edu/60-1-35-currentpdf], Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Failure to provide proof of primary vaccination and booster will result in rescission of a prospective employee’s offer of employment and/or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
